As a subsidiary and a brand of IMA Dresden, WIAM^® maintains short paths and has built up a lot of know-how in the field of material science. For more than 20 years, IMA Dresden has been a partner in material testing for manufacturers and suppliers and implements customised tests for each material, component as well as whole products such as cars, trains and planes.

The company operates according to German and international standards and guidelines. It is certified according to DIN EN 9100, DIN EN ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. All relevant testing laboratories are accredited according to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025. Moreover, the test laboratories are equipped with the latest test, measurement and control technology on over 210,000 m of test area. IMA Dresden establishes customised tests for materials, parts and products and offers services to conceptualise and build customer-specific test rigs.
