WIAM at trade fairs and conferences as part of the Applus+ family

What distinguishes the WIAM? She understands the customer. And we can do that particularly in direct communication.

Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, this has not been possible in recent years. We are all the more pleased that we were able to be at two major trade fairs this year, at Automotive Testing Europe (ATE) in Stuttgart and at WindEnergy Hamburg. Since we have also been part of the Applus+ family for a year now, we used the stands of our parent company at both trade fairs. At the ATE together with Applus+ and Applus+/IMA Dresden, at the WindEnergy only with Applus+/IMA Dresden. The visibility in a large corporation is much better as a software provider. And with large test centers behind you, the concrete benefits of data management can be made much clearer.

As a trade fair for testing in automotive technology, ATE was predestined to present our new product WIAM® LabDataHub to customers and interested parties. The data management of the many, sometimes very different measurements and tests in one system is also convincing because not only is all data archived and retrieved cleanly and orderly, but it is also transmitted to other IT systems via individual interfaces.

Our focus at WindEnergy Hamburg, on the other hand, was our second new product, WIAM® MaterialsHub. The multi-material mix in the wind power industry requires a precise overview of the material properties and parameters that are used for design and simulation. In particular, our experience in the field of composite materials and surface coatings is essential for the requirements of wind power.

Finally, in 2022 we were also at a major surface technology conference, the International Thermal Spray Conference (ITSC) in Vienna. This time without our own stand, it is still important to push digitization in surface technology. Despite the large amount of data in surface technology, there is still a lot of convincing to be done here. At least we already have the solution.
